Music App Ideas

To begin I created a mind map to get an idea of the basics I wanted for my app such as target audience, colour scheme and the UI.

Idea for Deliverable

To come up with an idea for my deliverable I decided to start with a mind map to brainstorm what I wanted from my app. I came up with the idea to focus on being able to find the song you want quick and with no fuss. Currently if I was to try find a song I would go to Spotify type in a few key words and hope the song would come up. However this doesn’t always work because sometimes you may only know the tune of a song. My concept is to include the likes of Shazam, lyric recognition and audio recognition all in the one app to make the process as quick and easy as possible. It will allow you to search for key words and lyrics, hum or sing into your device and it will then list several songs it could be. Then also the option to scan while the song is playing and give you the answer straight away. I would also like to include the services you use the most to be accessed as soon as you enter the app. This will include having your liked songs/playlists on the home page and also involve mood playlists so you can find songs to match your mood in a matter of seconds. For album art I would like it to be aesthetically pleasing so for all playlist made by the user and the app the album art will be abstract illustration colour coded to the vibe of the playlist.
