I then started some of my ideas on Figma and played around for a bit figuring out colours and my layout. These are what I came up with.

Then i narrowed it down to 3 designs for my critique, I was torn on what one i liked best as their all very different. I enjoyed how playful the first one was and the way the lines extended out of view. For the second one I liked the contrast created by the black background and the use of circles throughout. I loved the colour pallete and strong alignment in the third and the lower opacity overlapping in the bold numbers for the background. I asked the class for their favourites as I couldn’t decide and we chose the third.

During my critique I was told to add more padding around the words aligned down the left hand side and to try the body text in a different position as it looked odd being so thin down the side and to play around with the alignment of the alphabet against the word futura.

I took this criticism into consideration and edited my design and it definitely flows better and doesn’t look to tight. The critique really helped as it was new sets of eyes seeing the design which were able to point out mistakes that I had missed.
