At the outset, I envisioned utilizing line drawings for my illustrations and embarked on creating them accordingly. While I appreciated the initial look, I encountered a shift in direction when I modified my color palette. The line drawings no longer aligned with the updated vibe and theme of my project, prompting me to reconsider my approach to illustration.
After conducting extensive research, I opted for a flat vector style for my illustrations, aiming for exaggerated proportions to add a unique flair to the visuals. With this vision in mind, I set out to create an illustration using my chosen colour palette. As I brought my concept to life on paper, I found myself thoroughly enjoying the creative process and was delighted with the outcome.
The illustration not only captured the essence of my narrative but also exceeded my expectations in terms of visual impact and aesthetic appeal. Its bold lines, vibrant colours, and exaggerated proportions perfectly conveyed the dynamic energy and excitement I envisioned for the project.
This positive experience solidified my decision to pursue the flat vector style for all illustrations in my project. Not only did it align seamlessly with the overall aesthetic and theme, but it also offered versatility and potential for creativity in conveying complex ideas and emotions.
Moving forward, I am confident that this finalised approach to illustration will effectively complement the narrative and enhance the overall user experience of the project.
After sketching out various ideas and mapping the layout of my prototype, I transitioned to the next phase: creating the illustrations. Through this process, I identified the specific elements that required visual representation to effectively convey the narrative. After careful consideration and refinement, I finalised the illustrations that would best complement the overall design and storytelling of my project.
