After finalising the layout for my app, I delved into the creation of the icons necessary to breathe life into my vision. Accessibility considerations dictated the need for a comprehensive set of icons, each meticulously crafted to convey their respective functions clearly and intuitively.

Initially, I relied on pre-made icons available in Figma to expedite the process. However, as the scope of required icons expanded, maintaining consistency within a single theme became increasingly challenging. Recognising the importance of visual coherence and user familiarity, I made the decision to redraw all the icons myself.

Drawing inspiration from existing icon sets, I embarked on a creative journey to reimagine each icon with a cohesive aesthetic that harmonised seamlessly with the app's overall design language. This involved careful attention to detail, ensuring that each icon remained legible and easily recognisable, even at smaller sizes or for users with visual impairments.

While the task was daunting, the opportunity to infuse my personal touch into every icon was immensely rewarding. It allowed me to imbue each icon with the same level of care and intentionality that permeated the rest of the app's design. Moreover, the process of redrawing icons from scratch afforded me the flexibility to tailor them precisely to the app's unique requirements and user experience goals.

In the end, the painstaking effort invested in creating a bespoke set of icons paid off, resulting in a visually cohesive and user-friendly interface that elevated the overall user experience of the app.
