Briefly describe the project's goals, objectives and personas - The why
Your UX Process: Describe the UX techniques you used throughout this project
(e.g., Was this a collaborative team project or solo effort? Did you partner with user research? What Research and Discovery did you do as part of this project e.g. Interviews, Gong, Competitive Analysis etc?… Did you work with UI/RDS?... Did you use the Object Modelling Framework?... Highlight tools you used as part of this work such as Figma, Miro, Gong, Dovetail, Confluence etc… Remember to reference specific artifacts you created and their benefit as well as soft skills such as presenting to balanced team members and stakeholders... Show yourself off! Other tactics include journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing… Your mentor can assist you if you are stuck.
Challenges and Solutions: Discuss any UX-specific challenges you encountered and how you addressed them.
e.g., Technical constraints and limitations - How did you work with PM and Eng partners to solve these problems? This shows advocacy, collaboration and flexibility, which are desirable to prospective employers.
Outcomes and Achievements: Quantify your results whenever possible
e.g., "Reduced task completion time by 15%," "Reduced Support Tickets by 10%"). Include any metrics that demonstrate the impact of your UX work. If not quantifiable, use qualitative metrics and user feedback instead. Include direct user quotes if possible.
Visuals: Include relevant visuals to help showcase your good work.
E.g. Screenshots of user flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, and Figma mockups. Ensure visuals are your own work and clearly illustrate your UX process and design solutions. Note: If using product screenshots ensure that the feature in question is live today and does not contain customer data.
Reflection/Conclusion: Discuss key takeaways.
What did you learn during the project? What did you enjoy about it? What went well? What would you do differently in future?
